Instead of always having to meet and share workshops on “how to use this or that,” simply send a newsletter with weekly tips on how to use, rent, or buy a new product or on how to integrate a subject or lesson with technology Develop a vision that all can “buy-into” and communicate it Research what other districts are doing Communicate the vision with expectations for implementation from the Board on down Access to the research that provides the information for a technology “buy-in” climate Share with community what is happening with technology in the district “Tech Book Club”: discuss research, magazine articles, tech plans from other districts, etc. Staff a district-wide tech coordinator that oversees all other coordinators to organize the communication and implementation of purchases, training, policy, etc. Prioritize wants vs. needs Utilize community and student resources and talents to broker opportunities (even community members without students in the school) Continually review direction and compare to needs and opportunities |
